About

The Kyle Professional Firefighters Association (Local 4567), and the Kyle Fire Department, invite you to join them at their 2nd annual 5K - it will be a hot one!

All proceeds will go towards benefitting local firefighters and their families in need of assistance.

 

Add to the challenge and do the 10K! Multiple water stations on the route and iced shop towels to keep you cool as you bring the heat!

 

Attention Fire Personnel - grab two teammates and compete in our 10K Bunked Out Relay. 

Rules for 10K Bunked Out Relay:

*3 member team, must register together
*2 miles each
*Members must be in bunker tops and bottoms (inner liner and outer shell)
*Bunker gloves
*Running shoes
*No helmet 
*Teams must bring their own baton - extra prize for most creative

     *Between 12"-16" long
      *Up to 5 Lbs
      *Keep it PG and family-friendly

*Teams are responsible for getting team members to and from exchange points:
     *Exchange Point One: Neighborhood Park in Stagecoach Crossing at 2 Mile Mark
     *Exchange Point Two: Intersection of S Sledge and West 1st at 4 Mile Mark

Packet Pickup and Late Registration

Night before the Race, Packet Pickup for Early Registration and Late Registration – Fire Station #1, 210 W Moore St, Kyle, TX 78640, Fire Station Lobby, Look for Signs – 3:30 – 6:30 p.m.

Race Day Pickup for Early Registration and Late Registration
1 Hour Before Race Start Time – Near Start/Finish, Look for Signs - near the gazebo

Bib Numbers 1-1019, 500-506, 2000 - you are considered EARLY REGISTRATION -- that's the line you'll head to at Packet Pickup

All other numbers are considered LATE REGISTRATION and that’s where you'll head to at Packet Pickup 

Early Registrants: Dog and Stroller Bibs will be in the packets of the Registered Owner. If you did not register for the 5K or 10K, but you registered your dog or stroller, you will need to register for the 5K or 10K before receiving your dog or stroller bib. 

RELAYS - you will have ONE chipped bib to attach to your baton, each team member will wear a matching non-chipped bib

Directions and Parking

Parking is available on side streets around Mary Kyle Hartson Park. Please do not block mailboxes or driveways.  Be courteous to our neighbors.  Please do not park where there are cones blocking parking.

Additional Info

Must register by Shirt Guarantee Deadline to guarantee receipt of shirt requested.

Shirt Guarantee Deadline is 14 days before race day.

Extra shirts are ordered conservatively so as not to expend funds on shirts that could go to the cause.  If having a shirt is important to you, please register by Shirt Guarantee Deadline.

Races start and finish at the Mary Kyle Hartson Park.

We are Rain or Shine, Hot or Cold. 

5K/10K and Relay are all chip timed.

Online Early Registration will close 4 days before race day. Late registration is available during stated Packet Pickup times above.

If you register after early registration closes, you are considered late registration and you can still sign up online!  When you get to packet pickup or race morning, follow the signs for Late Registration.

Late Registration closes 15 minutes before race start time.

No refunds, but you may transfer your registration to another person.

Packets may be picked up by another person.

All Registration Changes must be handled on race morning with the timing company.

Packets to be shipped will be shipped following the close of the race.

All packets not retrieved by the end of race morning will be donated to Hays Clothing Closet.

We will attempt to do awards after all have returned from the course.as each distance finishes!
