Join us for this fundraising event for Troop 1948. Troop 1948 will be using the funds to refurbish a trailer to help store and carry gear for all of our adventures. This troop is chartered by our friends at Kyle VFW Post 12058. 5K and 5K Ruck Walk will start at the same time. Each will have its own set of Overall Male/Female and Age Group Awards
Ruck Walk rules - wear a backpack with at least 20 pounds of weight - however much is right for you. This is walk and based on the honor system (don't run) - all in good fun. Wear as much weight as you would like (at least 20 pounds), walk in honor or in memory of someone, or just to see if you can accomplish the challenge.
NOTE: GPS will send you to a SERVICE GATE which is not the entry to the park. The entry is directly across Stagecoach from Blanco Vista Blvd (coordinates: 29.941196, -97.897705). When you pull into the park entrance and follow the road to the right, pull into the parking lot AFTER the little pavilion at the roadside to park to be closest to the start/finish.

DOG and STROLLER are add ons and mean you will have a bib assigned to your dog or your stroller in addition to your own, which means whoever is running or rucking with the dog or stroller must register also. A dog or a stroller must be accompanied by a human! This is for a bib only.

Bib Numbers 1-1002 you are considered EARLY REGISTRATION -- that's the line you'll head to at Packet Pickup on Race Morning.
All other numbers are considered LATE REGISTRATION and that’s where you'll head to at Packet Pickup on Race Morning.
If you registered after the shirt guarantee deadline of Jan 12, note that you may not get a shirt. This is OKAY! All proceeds from this race go to the amazing girls of Troop 1948! Yes, if there are shirts not picked up by the end of the race, we will do our best to distribute!
Early Registrants: Dog and Stroller Bibs will be in the packets of the Registered Owner. If the owner did not register, the dog/stroller bib will be held until registration is complete.

Directions and Parking
Race starts and finishes at parking lot furthest west once you enter the park. Packet Pick Up and Late Registration will be near Start/Finish. There is plenty of parking.

Must register by Shirt Guarantee Deadline to guarantee receipt of shirt requested.
Shirt Guarantee Deadline is 14 days before race day.
Extra shirts are ordered conservatively so as not to expend funds on shirts that could go to the cause. If having a shirt is important to you, please register by Shirt Guarantee Deadline.

5K and 5K Ruck Walk are chip timed.
Online Early Registration will close 4 days before race day. Online Late registration is available through race start time.
If you register after early registration closes, you are considered late registration and you can still sign up online! When you get to packet pickup or race morning, follow the signs for Late Registration.
Late Registration closes a few minutes before race start time.
No refunds, but you may transfer your registration to another person.
Packets may be picked up by another person.
All Registration Changes must be handled on race morning with the timing company.
If offered, Packets to be shipped will be shipped following the close of the race.
All packets not retrieved by the end of race morning will be donated to Hays Clothing Closet.
