Burning Pine 5K, 10K and Jr. Ranger Run

The Bastrop YMCA, in collaboration with the Friends of the Lost Pines State Parks, will host the FIFTH annual Burning Pine 5K/10K and Junior Ranger Run Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016!

Race participants will run through Bastrop State Park, beginning at 7:30 a.m.

The event will commemorate the anniversary of the 2011 wildfires that devastated the beautiful Lost Pines.  This is a family friendly event.

5:45am – Race parking OPENS (location: Bastrop Rodeo Grounds/Mayfest Park)
6:00am – Race day packet pickup OPENS (located next to race parking at Bastrop Rodeo Grounds/Mayfest Park across from Bastrop State Park)
6:00am – Shuttle buses START
7:15am – Race day packet pickup CLOSES
7:20am – 10k runners head to 10k start line
7:30am – 10k race STARTS
7:35am – 5k runners head to 5k start line
7:45am – 5k race STARTS
8:00am – After race snack service opens
8:30am – 5k award ceremony begins; 10k awards will follow
9:30am – Junior Ranger Run (1k family run) starts
10:30am – Shuttle buses STOP

$40 Sleep-in Option

All T-Shirts are Tech T's.   Smaller sizes (S,M,L) seem to run larger than normal.  Larger sizes (XL-3X) seem to run smaller than normal.

NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION!

Registered runners can pick up their packets from 6:00am to 7:00am on race day. Location of packet pickup will be next to race parking. This will allow runners to get their race packet and put any extra race packet items in their vehicle before taking the shuttle across the street to the race venue. Please arrive early enough to catch the shuttle to the race venue before the race begins. We will NOT delay the start of the race for late runners.

Awards for the both male and female 5K and 10K in the following age groups:
13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over

No age limit on the junior run
