Off to the Races 5K Run/Walk, benefiting Sunfield Elementary -- race will start and finish at the school!

Join us for the Inaugural Off To The Races 5k at Sunfield Elementary School! Celebrate the start of a new school year by seeing the new campus and running a fun course through the beautiful Sunfield neighborhood. The Sunfield PTA is sponsoring this event to raise funds towards the Leader In Me initiative the students and teachers will be participating in this year, which helps kids see themselves as leaders through common language and teaching around core principles. The PTA is excited to kick off this school year and hopes this is the start of many great events for our wonderful community!

Bring your team to this For the Love of Go race and #repyourteam! No need to register together or name your team when you register for the race. Just bring all your peeps to the race, scan the QR code near the starting line to check in each team member. Once the race starts, the team with the most check ins WINS fantastic prizes and bragging rights! So, get it together, and come #repyourteam!

Bring some spending money! Eso's Tacos will be on site with their mobile taco truck. They will have breakfast tacos for sale, and will donate 10% of all proceeds back to the Sunfield PTA. Embrace the Grind will have a coffee station set up, selling cold brew and iced coffee concoctions. They have agreed to donate 100% of all tips back to the Sunfield PTA.

Night before the Race – 3:15-5:00 p.m. - Pull to the front of the school for drive-thru pickup and late registration!

1 Hour Before Race Start Time – Near Start/Finish, Look for Signs

Remember, shirt guarantee deadline was August 7. We ordered extras but we are not always able to guess (though we do try our crystal ball) the sizes people will need as they register after that date. If you do not receive a shirt, it is because we ran out of your size by the time we got to your packet after filling those who were guaranteed. YES - that does mean that a group who registered together after the cut off might not all get a shirt.

Directions and Parking

Some parking will be available in parking lots, but you'll want to plan to come early and stay late if you grab any of those (the front parking lot will be part of both the 5K and the Kids Dash. There's street parking available! Please avoid parking on Sunbright, across the street from the school. Please do not park where you see cones. We are blocking a few areas to allow for visibility.

Must register by Shirt Guarantee Deadline to guarantee receipt of shirt requested.

Shirt Guarantee Deadline is 14 days before race day.

Extra shirts are ordered conservatively so as not to expend funds on shirts that could go to the cause. If having a shirt is important to you, please register by Shirt Guarantee Deadline.

Races start and finish at the address listed at the top of the page.

We are Rain or Shine, Hot or Cold.

5K is chip timed.

Kids Dash will not begin until all 5K participants have returned to the finish line.

Medals are not awarded to Kids’ Dash participants. All participants 10 and under receive a finisher token.

Online Early Registration will close 4 days before race day. Late registration is available during stated Packet Pickup times above.

If you register after early registration closes, you are considered late registration and you can still sign up online! When you get to packet pickup or race morning, follow the signs for Late Registration.

Late Registration closes 15 minutes before race start time.

No refunds, but you may transfer your registration to another person.

Packets may be picked up by another person.

All Registration Changes must be handled on race morning with the timing company.

If offered, Packets to be shipped will be shipped following the close of the race.

All packets not retrieved by the end of race morning will be donated to Hays Clothing Closet.
