The 11th Annual Country Roads 10K & Kids Run is the oldest 10K in San Marcos, Tx – the Heart of the Texas Hill Country. We offer a challenging chip-timed course in a closed-in, country-like subdivision, a great T-shirt, and some nice door prizes in addition to the awards. And, the course is managed by experienced volunteers from the San Marcos Runners Club; a race put on by runners for everyone! The 10K race is on a gently rolling (our nice way of saying challenging), certified course located entirely within the scenic Country Estates subdivision. Runners will be challenged by the last 1.5 miles of the course, which is a constant, slight and steady uphill grade. Along the course, you may occasionally see the local deer population, also out for their morning run! The course for the Kids Run is a 0.86 mile loop. As the annual fundraising event for the San Marcos Runners Club, the proceeds from the Country Roads 10K & Kids Run support SMRC projects and activities promoting exercise, fitness and healthy lifestyles in our community. The SMRC organizes and manages race events at no charge for many local nonprofit charities and service organizations in their fundraising efforts, and uses these proceeds to cover the expenses involved; so your donation ultimately benefits these groups. |

Pre-registrations (through September 20th) 10K Run and Walk: $25.00 Late Registrations (September 21st - Race Day) 10K Run and Walk: $30.00 Kids Run is FREE Pre-registered participants are guaranteed a long-sleeved high-tech T-shirt (10K only). Participants who register after September 20th will receive shirts on a ‘first-come, first serve” basis, with size not guaranteed. |

Overall Male/Female, Masters Male/Female (40+), and the Top 3 Male/Female finishers in the following age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+ All Kids Run participants will receive a finishers medal Courtesy of Rober Bermea Photography, complimentary downloadable digital images of the Country Roads participants will be available at http://www.robertbermeaphotography.com/CR5K2014 the week after the race occurs. |
