3rd Annual Purgatory Trail Run

San Marcos' trail race on the beautiful Purgatory Trails cared for by the San Marcos Greenbelt Alliance!  This is a USATF sanctioned event. 

The 10 mile course leads runners through a rather porous section of the Edwards Aquifer. Juniper groves, meadows, ephemeral wetlands, and oak mottes co-exist in Purgatory Creek Greenspace.  More experienced trail runners will enjoy some difficult technical sections of trail during the race while still runnable.

The 5K course is a rigorous course with a medium technical rating and is the perfect introduction into trail running.  The  5k will be capped at 100 participants.

Walkers and hikers are encouraged to participate in the 5K and 10 mile race.

Runners and walkers will receive a t-shirt.  Registrations taken after 1/1/15 may not be guaranteed a t-shirt.  Late registrations are not guaranteed a t-shirt.

No dogs allowed.   No refunds.
