The city's official slogan promotes Austin as "The Live Music Capital of the World", a reference to the city's many musicians and live music venues. RACE OPTIONS. 12 unique event options at both the Olympic Distance (Triathlon, Triathlon Relay, RunBikeRun, SwimBike, SwimRun, 1640 Yard Swim & 10K Run) and Sprint Distance (Triathlon, Triathlon Relay, RunBikeRun, Swim Bike, SwimRun, 400 yard Swim & 5K Run). There is something for everyone!
RACE COURSE. Lake Pflugerville, a 180-acre reservoir that provides the citizens of Pflugerville with drinking water, serves as the swim venue and race headquarters. The bike course is a rolling, 13-mile loop and the run course is a 3-mile trail around Lake Pflugerville. Sprint athletes complete the bike and run course 1 time versus 2 times for Olympic athletes. This is the same course as the highly-regarded Lake Pflugerville Triathlon.
